17-02-2025 The 5th Session of the Japan Electricity and Water Policy Dialogue

The fifth session of the Japan-Kuwait Electricity and Water Policy Dialogue was held this morning in the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Adel Mohammed Al-Zamil, and the Japanese Deputy Minister of Energy, Mr. Orta Hideki.

This session aims to discuss future and current projects and Japanese technology in the fields of electricity, water and renewable energy.

Dr. Adel Al-Zamil began by welcoming the Japanese Deputy Minister of Energy and his accompanying delegation and thanked them for their keenness to extend the frameworks of cooperation between the two countries. He stated that such events contribute to conveying Japanese technology and expertise to national cadres, which contributes to developing the electrical and water system in the State of Kuwait.

Mr. Orta Hideki continued by expressing his thanks for this hosting and stressed the importance of holding such sessions that would enhance Japanese-Kuwaiti partnerships in the field of electric power and water.

Several presentations were given in the field of electrical energy by the national cadres in the ministry in the presence of an elite group of leaders and employees of the ministry to discuss them with the Japanese side, which focused on the future projects of the State of Kuwait for energy, water and renewable energy.

The Japanese delegation also began its role with presentations on modern technology that Japanese companies can provide in the fields of electrical energy conservation, treatment of water network losses, carbon capture, and renewable and green energies.

It is worth noting that this dialogue will extend over two days, February 17-18, 2025. The second day will include several scientific workshops presented by experts and specialists in the fields of electrical energy and water.
