The committee for preparing and implementing a strategy to rationalize electricity and water consumption, headed by Engineer Fatima Johar Hayat, head of the Conservation Strategy Committee, held a coordination meeting with members of the Abdullah Al-Salem Healthy Suburb City Initiative and in coordination with the Head of the City’s Environmental Committee, Ms. Sawsan Al-Sarhan, in the presence of Dr. Eman Aba Hussain and Ms. Ebtisam Al-Fraih and Ms. Labih Al-Mulla.
The city members explained the national initiative, which focuses on 80 standards, including 11 standards related to green landscapes, wastes, water, electricity, food safety, smoking, air, pollution, and sanitation.
Aspects of cooperation were discussed between the Ministry and members of the Abdullah Al Salem Healthy Suburb City initiative to move forward in implementing standards for electricity and water. It was agreed that the teams emanating from the Conservation Strategy Committee would participate in the activities organized by the Abdullah Al-Salem Health Suburb City, to conduct field visits to public facilities in the city, in order to check whether these facilities comply with the guidelines that must be available to be energy-efficient buildings.
