01-06-2024 His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and the Minister of State for Housing Affairs inspects the Doha East and Doha West stations for electric power and water distillation

His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy and the Minister of Housing Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Abdulaziz Bushehri, made an inspection tour of the Doha East and Doha West stations for electrical power and water distillation, accompanied by the Undersecretary of the Ministry in charge, Engineer Maha Al-Asousi, and the Assistant Undersecretary for the Electric Power and Water Distillation Stations Sector, in charge, Engineer Haitham Al-Ali.

He began his tour with a meeting with the director and supervisors of the stations, during which he was briefed on the progress of work and the procedures followed in order to ensure the readiness of the electric power and water distillation stations for the summer of 2024.

The director of the Doha East Electric Power and Water Station, Eng. Wael Al-Khamis gave a detailed explanation of the station, which has a production capacity of 910 megawatts and a water production capacity of 42 million imperial gallons per day.

His Excellency took a field tour of the TCR thermal turbine control rooms at the Doha East station.

The inspection tour was completed with a visit to the Doha West Electric Power and Water Distillation Station.

The station's acting director, Engineer Muhammad Maslah Al-Shammari, gave a brief presentation about the station, where the station's production capacity is 2,390 megawatts and the water production capacity is 170 million imperial gallons per day. The ECR electrical control room was also visited.

He explained in his speech that our national cadres are a source of pride and pride for the State of Kuwait and the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy. He also stressed to the ministry’s leaders the importance of developing the national human element and qualifying it scientifically and practically to enable it to shoulder its responsibilities to the fullest.
