The State of Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, chaired the meeting of the fifteenth session of the Water Resources Committee at the United Nations House in the capital of the Lebanese Republic, Beirut. The ministry was represented by Eng. Maha Al-As'oosi, the acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, and Eng. Sarah Mohammed Al-Mutairi, Director of the Chemical Works Department and Acting Director of the Water Facilities Operation and Maintenance Department.

The work of the fifteenth session of the Water Resources Committee focused on water security in the Arab region and water issues. The outcomes of the United Nations Water Conference for the year 2023 and the progress made towards achieving the goals of sustainable development related to water in the Arab region were also discussed.
