The minster of Electricity, Water and renewable Energy Dr. Mohammed Jassim Al-Ostad made an inspection tour and congratulated the workers in the shift during the blessed Eid Aladha at the Subiya Station for electrical power and water distillation. He was accompanied by the acting undersecretary of the ministry Eng. Maha Al-As'oosi and the assistant undersecretary for electrical power station and water distillation Eng. Haitham Al-Ali .
He started his tour with a visit to the electrical control room through which he was briefed on the work flow and procedures followed and reassured the readiness of the electrical power stations and water distillations for the summer of 2023. The acting manager of Subiya Station Eng. Talal Al-Shimmiri explained the work mechanism of the electrical control system in the station which has a production capacity of 6700 mega watt representing 35 % of the total energy produced for the State of Kuwait, and the water production capacity is 100 million imperial gallons per day. The tour has also included a visit to the steam turbine hall, the thermal control room, the distillation unit control, and the gas turbine control room.
His excellency the minster has made it clear in his speech that our national cadres are a source of pride for the ministry and the electrical power stations and water distillation sector which is the back bone of the ministry through which the country's needs of electricity and water are secured. he stressed the importance of developing the human element to be qualified in facing any challenges to the electrical and water network.
At the end of the tour the engineers working in the thermal control room presented a book prepared by the national cadres working in the station on the mechanism of steam operation units in the station.
His excellency the minster thanked the employees of the ministry for their dedication at work especially during the official holidays appreciating their tireless efforts and their keenness on the stability of the electrical and water networks.
