14-05-2024 The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy announces the National Energy Saving Campaign

In the belief of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in developing its services provided to customers and working to reduce waste in electricity and water consumption, the Ministry announces the national energy saving campaign under the slogan (Save), which aims to reduce electricity and water consumption as they are the basic foundation of life.

The rationalization policy comes in a situation in which efforts are integrated within one framework that embodies the cooperation of the Ministry of Electricity, Water, and Renewable Energy and its communication with all public and private sectors of the state and public benefit associations, in order to achieve the harnessing of all capabilities and capabilities in order to rationalize consumption and preserve our vital resources.

The Ministry explained that the campaign will focus on two aspects: the first is educating customers by changing some daily habits and behaviors through which the individual reduces electricity and water consumption.

By introducing the areas of waste in consumption, how to avoid them, and the positive effects that customers will achieve when following the instructions that will be included in the campaign. The other side will follow up on the procedures followed in all public and private entities of the country to reach optimal consumption, through an executive team that will visit the entities and provide them with the required instructions. And follow up on its application. The Ministry also stressed the need to focus on young people because they are the men and women of the future.

The campaign in 2023 resulted in many awareness-raising contributions in cooperation with many entities, including the Ministry of Education, where more than 40 awareness lectures were presented for various educational levels in all governorates, and cooperation with the Healthy Cities Department of the Ministry of Health. Nearly 50 entities were also visited. The government and private sectors to audit the efficiency of electrical energy and water consumption in buildings.

A number of buildings belonging to the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy were also examined and are being converted into buildings that provide electricity and water energy.

This campaign comes from the standpoint of our Islamic religion, which urges against waste, extravagance, and moderation in consumption, which contributes to preserving the natural resources of the State of Kuwait, exploiting them away from depletion, as well as reducing the financial burdens that result from wasteful consumption of electricity and water.

The campaign will be published through the accounts of the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy on social media platforms as well as various media outlets.
