The State of Kuwait, represented by the Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, participated in the Tarsheed Forum for Energy and Water Efficiency for the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, which was held in the State of Qatar during the period from the 4th to the 5th of this month.

With a delegation consisting of the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Customer Services, Eng. Falah Al-Mutairi, and the membership of the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Monitoring, Control and Supervision Centers and the Head of the Committee for Preparing the Strategy for Rationalizing Electricity and Water Consumption, Eng. Fatima Jawhar Hayat, and the Head of the Media and Awareness Team for Rationalization, Eng. Khadija Abdul-Ridha Mashari.

Engineer Khadija Mishari also presented a working paper entitled “Rationalizing Water Consumption During the National Celebrations of the State of Kuwait” through the forum, which focused on the importance of enacting legislation and activating the role of the stipulated laws that concern the rationalization of electricity and water. She reviewed the successful experience of the State of Kuwait through activating the supervisory role and imposing the prestige of the law to reduce water waste during the national celebrations and its positive effects.

The importance of the forum lies in the exchange of expertise and experiences between member states and the role of discussing working papers and sessions in increasing constructive communication between participants to achieve the best results towards working on projects and solutions that contribute to rationalizing electricity and water consumption.
