His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Jassim Mohammed Al-Ostad, chaired the meeting of the Supreme Planning Committee where he reviewed the developments of the development plan and the plan of demand for electric power and water and found optimal solutions to it In addition to the Ministry's plan to establish power plants and water distillation through traditional production systems and renewable energy and to discuss the application of the Independent Provider System (IPP) in new plant projects.

The Ministry's plan includes the development of electrical and water systems, the development of control systems for the electrical grid and the discussion of the development of services provided to customers through the completion of the smart meter system for electricity and water.

The Government's Action Programme 2023 - 2027, entitled "Adjusting the Path - a Productive Economy and Sustainable Well-Being", highlighting renewable energy projects of various productive capacities, was also discussed.

At the end of the meeting, His Excellency Dr. Jassem Al-Ostad urged all sectors of the Ministry to focus on the Ministry's new vision and cooperation and to join forces in the implementation of this vision, particularly with regard to production projects for electric power and water, as they are important in securing services for all beneficiaries.
