His Excellency the Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy, Dr. Mahmoud Abdelaziz Boushehri, received, in the presence of the Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry, Engineer Haithmal Ali, the Director of the Renewable Energy Department, Engineer Ahmed AlDosari, on the occasion of his recommendation as Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency.

His Excellency Engineer Ahmed Al-Dosari congratulated him on this great confidence in him, stressing his full support in performing his new mission. He also expressed his confidence that this step would contribute to strengthening regional cooperation and developing joint initiatives in the fields of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

His Excellency the Minister stressed the great importance that the State of Kuwait attaches to these vital areas, as renewable energy and energy efficiency represent one of the most important strategic axes that the State of Kuwait looks forward to strengthening in the next stage towards implementing new and promising projects aimed at achieving sustainable development.

His Excellency the Minister indicated that these projects seek to diversify energy sources and achieve optimal use of them in a way that contributes to protecting the environment and reducing dependence on fossil fuels. For his part, Engineer Ahmed Al-Dosari expressed his thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister for his support and trust, stressing his keenness to make every effort to strengthen the role of the Regional Center for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency in serving the countries of the region and achieving common goals in this field.

He also praised the ambitious Kuwaiti trends that seek to achieve tangible progress in the use of clean energy and adopt the best international practices.

At the conclusion of the meeting, His Excellency Minister Boushehri wished Engineer Ahmed Al- Dosari success in his duties.
