The Central Agency for Public Tenders approves the offering, installation, operation, and maintenance of gas turbine units. It operates with the combined cycle system to increase the production capacity of electric power at the Al-Sabiya power station site and water distillation (fourth stage) at a value of 900 megawatts.

This project is considered one of the important projects to increase the production capacity of electricity and to meet the increasing demand for electrical energy; the project’s implementation period of the contract is 36 months.

The combined cycle system is considered one of the systems that improve the total efficiency of production and reduce the rate of fuel consumption and thus fuel costs, as well as reduce harmful emissions resulting from electricity production operations.
