H.E. Acting Prime Minister Sheikh Fahad Al Yousuf Al Sabah paid an inspection visit to the National Control Center, accompanied by H.E. Minister of Public Works Dr. Noora Khalid Al-Mishaan and H.E. Minister of Finance Noora Salem Al Fesaim. They were welcomed by H.E. Minister of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy Dr. Sabih Abdulaziz Al- Mukhaizim and a number of ministry leaders.

Dr. Sabih Al Mukhaizim reviewed the electrical situation for April 9 and 10, 2025, which witnessed a significant increase in electrical loads. The increase on April 9 reached about 21% compared to the same period last year, while the increase on April 10 reached about 17.3%, necessitating the implementation of a programmed interruption program.

His Excellency Sheikh Fahad Al Yousef Al Sabah directed that the ministry expedite the necessary measures to prevent this situation from recurring in the future; he also expressed his full support for the success of the ministry's efforts to meet the growing demand for energy.

The visit also included a tour of the main control room, during which His Excellency was briefed on the electrical load indicators and the mechanism for managing the UAE's energy system.
